I like to photograph the hares right after the snow melt while they're still in their white winter coats before they change back to summer browns and disappear into the landscape once again.

  • Brown hare photographed during a severe hailstorm in the Peak District National Park. As much as it inconveniences us, the unpredictable weather has a severe impact on the wildlife,especially when they are starting to breed and nest. This brown hare looked as though he was enjoying the hail storm almost as much as me, you can literally see them bouncing off his fur!
