Francis J Taylor is a multiple award-winning professional photographer, specializing in British landscape and wildlife photography. His photography has been sold and exhibited worldwide and published in books, advertisements and magazines, including several front covers. Alongside his personal work, Francis offers bespoke photography workshops near his home in the Peak District and around the rest of the UK.
As a keen naturalist and hill walker I consider myself extremely fortunate to live so close to the Peak District National Park, where I do the majority of my photography. In no time at all I can be out photographing the wildlife and beautiful scenery on the majestic edges, lush green dales and bleak moorlands of the Peak District. I have been exploring the Peak District my whole life and have built up an in-depth of knowledge of the wildlife and scenery in the national park.
My work is a celebration of the British countryside, showcasing our extremely rich and diverse heritage and the plethora of wildlife that inhabits our islands. We can often get so caught up in what’s going on elsewhere that we forget to appreciate the nature on our own doorstep. I care very deeply about conservation and ecology, and believe that photographers have a major role to play in conserving our environment by capturing its beauty and diversity. I always put the animal’s welfare first and I am a strong believer that if you have to cause disturbance or distress to capture an image it’s not worth it.
I hope you have enjoyed hearing a little bit about me!
My work is available to licence and as various prints and gifts. I am also available for commissions and run photography workshops. If you have any queries or requests, please don’t hesitate to contact me via any of the contact details provided or use the form on the contact page.
