  • A stunning sunset at Birchen Edge earlier this Autumn. Whilst I would have liked a bit more cloud, the soft pastel tones and burst of warm light through the valley made the visit more than worthwhile.

Whilst I would have liked a bit more cloud, the soft pastel tones and burst of warm light through the valley made the visit more than worthwhile. Birchen Edge is a location that's been on my to do list for far too long. Despite visiting many times over the years, I've never had conditions that did it any justice. Whilst by no means perfect, I was pleased to finally get some great light spilling through the valley and the birch woodland in full Autumn colour.

  • View down over the fields towards the picturesque village of Castleton, taken from the slopes of Winnats Pass. I've attempted this image several times but never had the right conditions. This time though the Autumn colours were at their peak and there was some lovely lingering mist in the valley beyond. Derbyshire, Peak District National Park.

  • On my way along the great ridge to Back Tor I couldn't resist stopping to capture this classic view with the moody snow clouds. This view of the gate on Mam Tor is one of the most iconic views of the Peak District National Park, and as clichéd as it has become, it is still a must have for any Peak District landscape photographers collection.
