About Turnstones:

The ruddy turnstone (Arenaria interpres) is a small wading bird in the family Arenaria. It is one of only two species of turnstone, the other being the black turnstoneTurnstones have chestnut and black backs with orange legs and white underparts. rocks,  They have an incredibly varied diet and can be seen feeding on carrion and plants but largely specialise in picking out food from underneath stones, giving them the name turnstone.
