Two of the three sisters of Glencoe reflected in the still waters of Torren Lochan, a small loch near Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands. The sheltered nature of the water here means that perfect reflections are common here.
About Torren Lochan and Glencoe
Torren Lochan, a small loch near Glencoe in the Scottish Highlands and is the iconic location of Hagrid’s Hut in the Harry Potter film, the Prisoner of Azkaban. Glencoe, named after the river Coe that runs through it, is steeped in history and is regarded as the home of British mountaineering. In February 1692, the Massacre of Glencoe took place in the glen. Thirty-eight men from Clan MacDonald of Glencoe were slaughtered by government soldiers as they had not immediately pledged allegiance to the new monarchs, William II and Mary II.
