Leopard with kill II
We initially drove past this male leopard sat by the edge of the track, showing just how incredible their camouflage is. Luckily the sharp eyed guide did a double take and we stopped a few metres ahead.
The leopard was intently watching a group of oblivious langurs in the jungle and as we were the only vehicle we sat back and waited. After a couple of minutes the leopard cautiously crept closer to the langurs and disappeared from our line of sight. Suddenly the alarm call went up and we could hear the sounds of a struggle from the dense forest vegetation. Luck was on our side as the leopard decided to bring the langur back across the track. It paused at the edge, well aware of our presence, deciding the best way to get past. In a split second burst of speed it sprinted across the track and into the jungle on the opposite side, giving me split seconds to get a shot.
