About the Jungle bush-quail:
The Jungle bush-quail (Perdicula asiatica) is a small plump bird in the family Phasianidae. They are native to the Indian subcontinent, where they are found in dry rocky scrub jungles and dry grasslands.
Males have distinctive barred black and white underparts while females have a more uniform reddy brown underparts. They are gregarious by nature and often found in groups of 2–7, but have been observed in groups of up to 20. a Jungle bush-quails diet consists primarily of grasses, seeds and small insects.
