Bamford Edge is widely regarded to have some of the best views in the Peak District and I can’t find reason to disagree. From this viewpoint, known as Great Tor, you can see right round from Derwent edge, across Bleaklow and the Kinder Plateau, past Win Hill and the Hope Valley, all the way round to Chatsworth House. I’ve been up Bamford Edge several times before but never coincided my trips with the heather bloom and such great conditions.
