Kittiwake perched on the cliffs edge using the blooming spring flowers to frame the subject. These stunning birds are often overlooked in favour of the crowd pleasers, but for me their bright white plumage and red rimmed eyes make them just as interesting!
The kittiwake is a member of the gull family and a summer visitor to our shores. After breeding season is over these gentle looking birds head out to sea to spend the entire winter out on the open Atlantic ocean!
